Rahul has found form in just-concluded Indian Premier League and proved that he is very much in the race for number 4 spot. One advantage of these warm-up matches is that All 15 players can be tested intermittently in a single match.

It gives the options to captains of various teams to find the right combinations. New Zealand is a tough team to beat, especially in ICC tournaments, where they have shown in the past that they can be dangerous against any other team on their day. The likes of Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Martin Guptill will look to score as many runs as possible against Indian bowlers. While dangerous bowling duo Of Trent Boult and Tim Southee will try to unsettle the Strong batting line up of Indian team comprising Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and other batsmen. It may be a good contest between the Indian batsmen and New Zealand bowlers. The Indian batsmen will be looking for 300+ score in the warm-up match. The pitches in England seems to have turned batting friendly as we have seen in series between England and Pakistan which was played recently.
