India All Set to Face New Zealand & Bangladesh in Warm Up Matches
As India will be playing against New Zealand at the Oval on 25th May 2019. All eyes will be on the Skipper Virat Kohli. Who will play at Number 4 position will also be looked as the Captain might want to send the player. Whom he considered as fit for this crucial position. While Vijay Shankar will look to fancy his chances at number 4 position, KL Rahul is not Looking behind. Rahul has found form in just-concluded Indian Premier League and proved that he is very much in the race for number 4 spot. One advantage of these warm-up matches is that All 15 players can be tested intermittently in a single match.
It gives the options to captains of various teams to find the right combinations. New Zealand is a tough team to beat, especially in ICC tournaments, where they have shown in the past that they can be dangerous against any other team on their day. The likes of Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Martin Guptill will look to score as many runs as possible against Indian bowlers. While dangerous bowling duo Of Trent Boult and Tim Southee will try to unsettle the Strong batting line up of Indian team comprising Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and other batsmen. It may be a good contest between the Indian batsmen and New Zealand bowlers. The Indian batsmen will be looking for 300+ score in the warm-up match. The pitches in England seems to have turned batting friendly as we have seen in series between England and Pakistan which was played recently.
The Indian team will also play a warm-up match against Bangladesh on 28th May 2019 at Cardiff. The Indian bowlers need to stop the Bangladesh batting star Tamim Iqbal from scoring well. Similarly, They will have high hopes from Shakib Al Hasan as this Time in England The spinners are expected to perform much better even better than seamers. If India bats first, then it needs to put up a Good total beyond 300, So that when the Bangladesh team start batting, then pressure can be applied on them by the Indian bowlers and restrict them to a low score.
The game against New Zealand is expected to be much interesting that the one against Bangladesh as New Zealand have performed well against India in the recent past.
